The steak and ale pie is the king of “pub grub” and a true British institution. Prime Northumberland steak in a rich, home-made ale gravy with a delicious pastry lid.
Beef, Mushrooms, Shortcrust Pastry (Wheat, Egg), Beer (Barley), Beef Stock, Onion, Carrots, Celery, Butter (Milk), Wheat Flour, Tomato Purée, Egg, Garlic
Decant the filling in a oven dish and cover with the puff pastry. Glaze with a beaten egg and place in a preheated oven on a baking tray for approx. 40 minutes at 180 degrees. Remove when the pastry is a golden brown, using your temperature probe to ensure this is above 75 degrees celsius prior to serving.
Keep refridgerated. Do not freeze. Use by date on package.
